and security policies within the Kingdom. The Director's Office
directly controls the Training & Personnel, Strategic Planning and
Departmental Liaison Offices, each of which are headed by a Deputy

forensic and logistical support and protecting the Kingdom from outside
threats The Criminal Police is composed of four departments, each
headed by their own Deputy Commissioner and reporting to the Director,
Criminal Police: Investigations - Field investigations, working with the Royal Police for apprehensions and arrests, interrogations, etc. Law Enforcement Services - fingerprint identification, laboratory analysis of criminal evidence, police training, and access to a centralized crime information database. | Act as a paramilitary arm of the
RSPS. The Security Police conduct the protection of officials of
the government and its facilities and as a first line police resource
in addition to the Royal and Criminal Police. The Security Police
exercises more autonomy than either the Royal or Criminal Police
branches do. The Security Police maintain both uniformed and
investigative units usually located within RSPS facilities yet only
report to Security Police authorities. Support and backup is
provided to Royal and Criminal when necessary, however mostly operates
on their own, as a watchdog of the regular police. It is not
uncommon for Security Police units to conduct second investigations to
Criminal Police investigations or to have certain high profile work
taken over altogether. The Security Police operate four
departments, each headed by a Deputy Commissioner: Protection Services - Responsible for the security of government officials, foreign officials, and other deemed a security priority. State Security Services - Conducts investigations, follow up, oversight to other branches of the RSPS, border security, ports and coastal security and maintains liaison with the Armed Forces.
