Most Noble and Ancient Order of the Crown (C)


The Order of the Crown was created in 1725 by August Charles I as the highest order that can be bestowed upon any person.  The Order of the Crown is made up of the following classes:

GCC (Grand Commander)
His Royal Majesty the King is the Grand Commander of the Order.

KCC (Knight Commander)
Limited to Ducal rank or above and foreign Heads-of-State.

KC (Knight)
May be awarded to any person who is a citizen of Gotzborg.  Carries with it the dignity of being addressed by Sir [first name] in Gotzborg.

OC (Officer)
May be awarded to any person, citizen or foreign.

Ribbon

The Most Illustrious and the Most Noble Order of the Bison (K.B.)

Ribbon:  black with two gold stripes on each end and a gold rosette

Instituted: October 19th, 2001 by King David I of Pendronia

Grades: 1 Grade, 2 Classes (Knight/Dame, Knight/Dame Stranger)

Awarded:  For personal services rendered to the Royal Family

Notes: Post-nominals K.B./D.B.  Order of the Bison Page (Pendronia)



Collar Ribbon

The Most Exalted Order of the Star of Gotzborg (S.G.)

Ribbon: Red with two gold stripes bordered by red with a scarlet rosette

Instituted:  1718 by King Charles II

Grades: 1 Class (Knight or Dame)

Awarded:  For services to the Crown and Kingdom of Gotzborg

Notes:  Post-nominals K.S.G./D.S.G.

Most Eminent and Distinguished Order of the Lion of Gotzborg (L.G.)

Ribbon: Green with two gold stripes, bordered by green with a rosette coloured to the grade.

Instituted:  2010 by King August Charles II.

Grades: 3 (Grand Commander, Commander, Knight)

Awarded:  To citizens and foreigners for outstanding service or contributions to Gotzborg.

KLG (Knight).
Ribbons may be worn by all recipients.  All classes are entitled to wear miniatures.


Most Honorable Order of the Eagle (E)

Ribbon: White/Silver bordered in scarlet

Instituted:  1801 by King Charles III.  Original ribbon was all red, changed to current colors in 1897 by August William III. Cross was originally white, gradually changed between 1840-1855.

Grades: 6 (Grand Cross, Knight Commander, Knight Officer, Knight, Officer, Companion)

Awarded:  To citizens and foreigners for services to the Sovereign of Gotborg, and as a token of his personal goodwill.







GCE (Grand Cross)
Limited to the Royal Family and Foreign Heads of State
KCE (Knight Commander)
Limited to Ducal rank, General Officer ranks in the Armed Forces,
senior government positions, and foreign Heads of State.
KOE (Knight Officer)
Limited to exisitng Knight rank and above or foreign dignitaries.






KE (Knight)
May be awarded to any person.  Carries with it the dignity of being addressed by Sir/Dame [first name]
OE (Officer)
May be awarded to any person, citizen or foreign.
CE (Companion)
May be awarded to any person, citizen or foreign.
Ribbons may be worn by all recipients.  All classes are entitled to wear miniatures.


Royal Order of Merit (O.M.)

Ribbon:

Instituted:  1848 by King Frederick II

Grades:  Four classes with 3 sub-classes each

Awarded:  His Royal Majesty the King for meritorious service to the Realm.  The Order can be awarded to any person, both noble and common, foreign and domestic.

Notes:  The Royal Order of Merit (commonly referred to as the O.M or "Oh-Em")

Each class can be awarded with the addition of swords or a crown, each denoting a higher achievement than the previous award in that class.
Higher class awards do not replace lower class awards, except when awarded with Swords & Crown.
