Organization

His Royal Majesty, the King appoints the Royal Chancellor.  Royal Ministers are appointed by the King on the advice of the Chancellor and may be dismissed at HRM's pleasure.  The legislative branch of the government is made up by the Chamber of Deputies, which in the original days of the founding, was composed of Deputies of each of the seven nations representing their particular Ducal interests.  Today, the five seats of the Chamber are elected by the people and serve a term of one year.  From the Deputies, a President of the Chamber is chosen who acts as the speaker and keeper of order when the Chamber is in session.

Within each of the three main ministries (Home, Foreign, War) there exist a number of departments, each with its own focus and responsibility for the function of the Kingdom.  The Home Office, encompassing the entirety of the nation within the borders is the largest and most senior of the government Ministries and as such has the most departments.  The Foreign Office is solely engaged in the interaction with other nations and entities, reporting through to the Royal Chancellor and the King.  The War Office, while not directly responsible over strategic control and planning for the Royal Armed Forces, does manage the logistical, budgetary, administrative and educational components, including Civil Defense plans and security of critical infrastructure in wartime.  Historically these three groups have formed the basis of the Royal Government since the Kingdom was formed.  The fourth and newest ministry in the Royal Government is the Anthelia Office, created in 2007.  This was created in order to facilitate the transition of Anthelia to Gotzborg as laid out by the Treaty until such a time as the transition was deemed complete at which time the need for the office would be reviewed.

While the overall leadership and direction for each Office is provided by a Minister-of-State appointed by the Royal Chancellor on approval of the King, each portfolio is headed by a Vice-Minister of State, appointed by the Minister with the approval of the Royal Chancellor.  A Vice-Minister may have additional responsibilities above and beyond a single portfolio.   The constitution of departments within each Office is managed by the Minister of State and may change depending on the needs and requirements of the Kingdom at that particular time.
